TitleThis document specifies requirements for an open and interoperable interface supporting roaming services for electric vehicle (EV) charging. The interface enables the exchange of information and operational interaction between Charge Point Operators (CPOs), e‑Mobility Service Providers (eMSPs) and, where applicable, roaming intermediaries. This document covers, in particular: • authorisation of EV charging sessions across different networks; • exchange of charge point and location information, including static data and dynamic status information; • exchange of transaction-related information before, during and after charging sessions, including charge detail records and notification data records; • remote commands related to charging sessions; • exchange of information related to smart charging; • exchange of information with payment terminals to support Ad Hoc charging • mechanisms enabling remote access to charging infrastructure without prior registration with the charge point operator. This document supports bilateral roaming arrangements and roaming via intermediaries and defines data models, message structures and communication procedures relevant for roaming purposes. This document does not specify requirements for: • physical charging equipment or electrical installation; • communication between the EV and the charge point; • payment instruments, billing rules or financial settlement; • business, contractual or regulatory arrangements between parties.
