This document specifies design requirements and tests for some components used in trolleybus lines, as the switches and the crossings between two trolleybus lines or between one trolleybus line and a tramway line. --Such components are generally installed at the same level as the contact wires and supported by means of anchoring wires and fixed supports, such as metallic masts or hooks fixed to buildings. - Therefore the standard gives a number of electrical and mechanical parameters to which such equipment shall conform and indications on their positioning and the clearances to be respected in respect of the obstacles placed along a trolleybus line. - This document makes reference and complements EN 50119, using the contact wires standardised in EN 50149. The requirements contained in this document apply, when required, to newtrolleybus lines or to radical revamping of existing lines. - The document contains technical requirements, component tests, inspections, insulation tests, operation tests and acceptance tests.
