This standard describes the acceptance test procedure for image display devices - it defines which test and measuring quantities have to be used and how and with which tools the test has to be carried out. After installation of after changes that can influence the image quality such an acceptance test has to be carried out by both manufacturer and user or expert. The reference levels for the constancy test have to be fixed using the described test tools. The image quality generated by a medical imaging device and displayed on the image display device has to be reproduced by the related image documentation system.
