This European Standard specifies safety requirements for floating landing stages, floating constructions and their equipment. Requirements for supply and return systems for ships are not covered by this standard. It is not applicable to: - bank structures such as quay walls, sheeting walls, piles and dolphins; - floating landing stages for recreational craft; - more severe requirements for floating landing stages used for the transhipment of dangerous goods; - any landing stages required between vessel and floating landing stage; - other floating special buildings, that are not covered within the definition of this standard.
