This standard also applies to automatic burner control systems, programming units and their associated flame detector devices that include additional functions. Automatic burner control systems utilizing thermo-electric flame supervision devices are not covered by this standard. Note: European Standards for burners, appliances or processes which use automatic burner control systems, programming units or flame detectors may override the requirements of this standard.
