Classification on the basis of extended application is not within the scope of this European Standard, however for extended application the same classes are used as specified in this European Standard.

- smoke barriers;
- powered smoke and heat exhaust ventilators (fans), including connectors;
- natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilators.
