This European standard specifies the requirements for rooflights made out of plastic materials (e.g. GRP, PC, PMMA, PVC) with upstands made of e.g. GRP, PVC, steel, aluminium for laying in roofs which serve the purpose of lighting by means of daylight and of ventilating interior spaces by means of opening devices. It applies to rooflights with a rectangular or circular ground plan (see Figure 1) in roof pitches up to 25°.
