Project No.-
TitleThis Part of EN XXXX specifies the definitions and requirements for injection moulded and extruded thermoplastics boxes used in underground systems for infiltration, attenuation and storage of non-potable water [e.g. storm water] and manufactured from unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U), polypropylene (PP) or polypropylene with mineral modifier (PP-MD). These products are intended for underground use in landscape, pedestrian or vehicular traffic areas and are used outside the building structure (application area code "U"). These boxes are intended to be used as a modular system. This European Standard is only applicable to boxes where the manufacturer has clearly stated in the documentation how the components shall be assembled to create a complete infiltration, attenuation and storage construction. A box can be assembled from component(s) manufactured by various methods e.g. extrusion, injection moulding, rotational moulding, thermoforming and lowpressure injection moulding. They can either be prefabricated or site assembled from different components. It also specifies the test parameters for the test methods referred to in this standard. NOTE 1 It is the responsibility of the purchaser or specifier to make the appropriate selection from these aspects, taking into account their particular requirements and any relevant national regulations and installation practices or codes. NOTE 2 During installation phase national safety regulations should be regarded
