This European Standard specifies requirements for limited use garments offering chemical protection to specified parts of the body. Such garments are e.g. laboratory coats, jackets, trousers, aprons, sleeves, hoods not covering the face etc. Split-suits which have different levels of performance for different parts of the chemical protective suit can be classified as partial body protective garments, or as a complete full body protective assembly which shall be tested and classified in accordance with the appropriate European Standard e.g., Type 4 or Type 3.
