This European standard specifies requirements for copper cylinders for the storage of hot water where the water is heated indirectly by boiler water circulating in an integral primary heater and/or by a separate boiler or immersion heater not covered by this standard. Threee grades and 16 sizes are specified with a range of nominal capacities from 72 to 440 litres. The cylinders are intended for fixing in the vertical position. Three types of cylinder, two with heat exchangers and one without, are covered by this standard. Attention is drawn to the preferred sizes of cylinder as shown in t1.
