This document specifies the requirements and test methods for polymeric piping systems intended to be used for the rehabilitation of non-pressurized pipes inside buildings, which are operated as gravity systems. It is applicable to the materials and components of such piping systems, as manufactured, as well as to combinations of lining systems, replacement pipes and fittings and any localized repairs using polymeric materials that form part of the overall rehabilitation, as installed.
It provides the basis for type testing and process verification testing of complete schemes for rehabilitation of building internal drainage networks, comprising lengths of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and sprayed or brushed-in-place polymeric liners, and of replacement pipes, including all interconnections between them. It also applies to the connections between liners and existing intact or repaired iron or thermoplastic pipework.
It is not applicable to the existing pipework, enabling works or any non-structural coatings (defined as Class D by EN ISO 11295:2022, Table 17).
