Project No.prEN 17037 rev
TitleThis document provides daylighting recommendations for buildings to support the perception of the brightness of interior spaces and contribute to occupant well-being through indoor daylight provision, access to external views, and the duration of sunlight exposure. Recommendations for reducing the risk of glare from daylight within occupied spaces are also given. This document defines metrics used for the evaluation of daylighting conditions and gives principles of calculation and verification methods. The variability of daylight over the year can be addressed by the application of the relevant methods and metrics. This document applies to all spaces that can be regularly occupied by people for extended periods except where daylighting is contrary to the nature and role of the actual activity. The specification of lighting requirements for humans in indoor workplaces including visual tasks are given in EN 12464-1 and are not part of this document.
