This European Standard gives specifications for large series hexagon, high-strength structural nuts of thick style with metric dimensions in property classes 8 and 10 and thread sizes from M12 up to and including M36 for use with high-strength structural bolts of property classes 8.8 and 10.9 respectively. If in special cases specifications other than those listed in this European Standard are required, they shall be selected from existing European or International Standards, for example ISO 261, EN 20898-2 and ISO 965.
