Project No.-
TitleThe Technical Report covers the following aspects: It is not required by acceptance testing according to EN 14363 to assess the running behaviour of a vehicle on lines with a geometric track quality representative for lines with an admissible speed ≤ 80 km/h. Testing is not required for vehicles with an admissible speed ≤ 60 km/h. Therefore testing on lines with an admissible speed ≤ 60 km/h are not necessary. As a study of CEN TC 256 WG 28 showed significantly higher standard deviations of longitudinal level and alignment for line speeds ≤ 80 km/h, some Infrastructure managers have doubts, if test results achieved according to EN 14363 cover safe operation on such lines. The Technical report includes consideration of: - Provide a list of lines that are representative for a geometric track quality representative for lines with an admissible speed ≤ 80 km/h (see [6]) - Investigations on existing test results from such lines - Description of Method for recalculation of EN 14363 results - Analysis of these test data in terms of sensitivity to track quality and comparison of results with results achieved with the same vehicle according to EN 14363. - Investigation about necessity of special testing under such conditions - If necessary, provide an input data set for simulations
