This Technical Specification provides a method aiming at measuring the vibrations to which a cyclist is subjected. This test method described is relevant to cycles for common and professional use.
For the scope of this document, EPACs and carrier cycles vibration excitations result without exception from riding; therefore, the test of whole-body vibrations and hand-arm vibrations is based on the driving mode and thus complies with EN 1032.
NOTE An uncertainty is specified for the validity of the measurements, which is 0,4 times the vibration values specified in EN 12096. Further investigations should be carried out to reduce this uncertainty range as soon as vibration data obtained from different measuring facilities are available
