operates under the direction of SC 27 to address concepts and terminology across Working Groups (WGs), especially where they can affect directly or indirectly multiple WGs. SWG-CT can make recommendations to SC 27 and to WGs to this effect. This includes: • Collection of concepts, terms and definitions used in SC 27 Projects; • Considering existing standards and standing documents relating to concepts, terminology, vocabulary and definitions; • Identifying inconsistencies and conflicts between terms and definitions in SC 27 Projects and Study Periods; • Working with SC 27 Management, WG Management and Liaison Officers to reach acceptable resolutions; • Establishing (or reusing) and maintaining a suitable repository; • Editing and maintaining SC 27 Standing Document SD 6; • Providing advice, help and guidance to SC 27 WG Management, Editors and Rapporteurs on concepts, terminology and definitions; • Cooperating with other terminology groups of interest outside SC 27; • Reporting periodically on results to SC 27 Plenary.
