To establish standards dealing with installations for the separation from wastewater or surface water of: 1. light liquids of mineral origin, e.g. mineral oils, hydrocarbons (installations for the separation of light liquids); 2. greases and oils of vegetable and animal origin (installations for the separation of grease); 3. starch, e.g. potato starch (installations for the separation of starch). These installations generally comprising a sludge trap, a separator and if necessary a sampling point. The standards shall cover the terminology, the field of application, the principles of design, performance and testing, the normal conditions of use, the marking, the dimensioning (selection of size of apparatus), the protection of environment, the instructions for installations, service and maintenance and the quality control.
