This document specifies the requirements for pre-fabricated instantaneous water heaters in terms of function, hygiene, corrosion, performance and comfort.
All of the requirements specified in this document apply to stand-alone devices and their combination with a maximum potable hot water volume flow rate of 250 l/min, with reference to the reference conditions in accordance with Table 1.
This standard applies to the following operating conditions
Secondary side:
• maximum operating pressure up to 10 bar (see EN 806);
• maximum temperature up to 95 °C (see EN 806).
Primary side:
• maximum operating pressure up to 10 bar;
• maximum temperature up to 110 °C.
This standard does not apply to instantaneous water heater storage, dwelling stations or local and district heat transfer units.
The potable water is usually heated, but cooling it is also possible.
