This project aims at standardizing concepts, terms and definitions relating to electrical flexibility as well as methodology to assess services of electrical flexibility.
In addition to the development of relevant use cases, the project will focus on the following normative aspects:
• Definition Needs of flexibility (balancing mechanism, electricity market …)
• Definition & Characterization of the different types of electrical flexibilities:
1. Implicit flexibility through tariff
2. Explicit flexibility through direct or third party
3. Response time ; forecast, duration….
• Explanation of the stakeholders’ relationships and link fir the network codes
• Activation of the flexibility services: who, how, and when?
• Use cases of Flexibility services and description of architectures (industrial, tertiary and residential) in close cooperation with TC205 and TC57
• Flexibility assets (BESS (Battery Energy Storage System), building inertias, CHP etc, grid, EV Charger, Heat pumps …)
• Measurement provisions: e.g consistency with the data of the power smart meters and the metrology requirements as well as use of dedicated measurement Devices
• Information exchanges between concerned parties: e.g response time…
• Verification of delivery of service (baseline comparison). Which method to use and usage of sub metering.
• Commitment should be described.
