Projekta Nr. | LVS EN 50238-1:2020 |

Nosaukums | This standard is to describe a procedure for mutual acceptance of rolling stock to run over specific routes. It describes the mechanisms of interference, the susceptibility of train detection systems, the characterisation of traction power supplies and the procedure for acceptance. The result of the acceptance procedure is a structured justification document referred to as a "compatibility case", which documents the evidence that the conditions for compatibility have been satisfied. This standard is published in the framework of Interoperability, therefore the terminology needs to change accordingly. The following detailed changes are proposed: - Amend the process to identify the roles relevant to Interoperability and the two stage process for Authorisation for placing into service and putting into use. - Address the relevance of the compatibility process under EN 50388. - Provide references to TS 50238-2, TS 50238-3 and EN 50592 as appropriate. - Provide a section Bibliography and update obsolete references as appropriate. - Remove sections 5 and 6 as superseded by TS 50238-2 and TS 50238-3. - Provide reference to EN 50388 in section 7. - Clarify the applicability of the standard to metro/light rail and other segregated railways in the scope section. - Amend the numbering of the figures in the annexes, to align them with the section numbers and in accordance with CENELEC guidance. |
