Our proposal is to standardise the mean of communication between the "safety equipment" and the associated MMI (Man Machine Interface) to complete the system of reference to be implemented by the manufacturers. The aim of this standardisation is to have modular systems permitting the opening in the market of the different components (particularly the screens). This standardisation must imperatively take into account the durability of software and equipment, characteristic of railway application; the goal being the life duration of equipment (35 years). n order to preserve the safety level linked to signalling information, the system shall handle only with what must be displayed by the safety equipment. It must also take into account the possibility to obtain a very high level of availability.
