| Nosaukums | This document sets general requirements for the treatment of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) except for preparing for re-use. The requirements for the treatment process preparing for re-use are described in EN 50614:2020. This document is supplemented, for example by standards covering specific equipment. NOTE 1 This document is intended to cover WEEE arising from electrical and electronic equipment as listed under Annex III of Directive 2012/19/EU. NOTE 2 For the purposes of this document, treatment includes recovery or disposal operations, including preparation prior to recovery or disposal. This document addresses all operators involved in the treatment including related handling, sorting, and storage of WEEE. This document applies to operators processing WEEE and non-WEEE at the same facility and in the same process, regardless the size of the WEEE-related activities. |
