This CEN/TR lists and describe recent density measurements at different temperatures for biofuel components and European biofuel blends like gasoline E5, E10, E85 and biodiesel B100, B7 as well as domestic heating oils.
The proposed CEN/TR can be used to calculate the thermal expansion coefficient <alpha15> of the density at 15 °C and to compare several aspects of D(T) modeling and to check for compliance and limitations to existing calibration requirements. The proposed new work item will help to discuss specific necessities for the grouping of fuels into common product family classes and will also propose ways to treat “misbehaving” fuels pr components. In addition, the CEN/TR will propose possible steps for an internationally harmonized handling of new components coming into the market.
