This Technical Specification specifies requirements, test methods and performance criteria against which the effectiveness and reliability of fire alarm and fault warning transmission system used for transmission of fire alarms to fire alarm receiving centres and fault warnings to fault warning rceiving centers as defined in EN 54-1:2011 can be assessed. It provides for the evaluation of conformity of the routing equipment and receiving equipment to the requirements of fire alarm and fault warning transmission systems and for verification of
interoperability of components of the system.
This European Standard specifies also categories of alarm transmission systems meeting requirements of EN 50136-1 :2012 standard which can be used for transmission of fire alarms, fault warnings and other information to alarm receiving centres if it is allowed by an appropriate regulation.
