NosaukumsThis standard applies to devices and systems that support or secure performers, or components to which performers are attached, flown, suspended from or standing on stage machinery. This document covers the mechanical attachments used to support or secure performers, including points of attachment. It also covers harnesses or other devices that provide direct support or the securing of performers whose connection does not ultimately rely on the strength or ability of the performer. The standard applies to applications in places of assembly and in staging and production facilities for events and theatrical productions. Such facilities include theatres, multi-purpose halls, exhibition halls; film, television and radio studios; concert halls, schools, bars, discotheques, open-air stages and other rooms for shows and events. Performer harnesses and attachment devices are excluded from the scope of Working at Height Regulations and The Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. This standard will establish a minimum level of performance parameters for the design, manufacture and maintenance requirements of devices and systems which support or secure performers used in the production of entertainment events. The standard also applies to installations with new technologies or customised designs that are not expressly named here but are being used in identical modes of operation. This standard does not apply to: - Powered or manually operated machinery designed to lift, lower or move performers. - Machinery intended to be used by persons as a leisure activity, e.g. roundabouts, swings, boats, ferris wheels, roller coasters, chutes, booths and side shows. - Working Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). - Climbing sport equipment. - Bespoke equipment used by acrobats Construction site installations, scaffolding, simple coin operated children's amusement devices (carrying up to three children) and recreational devices like playground equipment, rope courses, climbing walls, inflatables, trampolines are not covered by this document. NOTE: This list is not exhaustive. The standard also specifies what information should be communicated between manufacturers and users, and the details that are to be provided with regard to the intended use of the equipment.
