This European Standard defines terms and specifies characteristics, requirements and test methods for ladder accessories.
It applies to accessories for portable ladders in accordance with EN 131 parts 1, 2, 3 and 4, it does not apply to ladders for specific professional uses such as fire-brigade ladders, roof ladders and mobile ladders. This part of EN 131 does not also apply to portable ladder’s replaceable spare parts (foot, joint, hooks, etc.).
