This European Prestandard describes a procedure for the verification of the thermal and pressure characteristics of fire resistance furnaces for the testing of separating elements. The procedure is to be carried out on new furnaces, when the furnace is relined (replacement of > 30 % of the lining), when the furnace is overhauled or every two years, whichever occurs first.
