This European standard describes symbols for use in conjunction with the classification scheme EN 1307 for wall-to-wall pile carpets and pile carpet tiles, including symbols for levels of use, luxury rating and additional characteristics. It also describes and gives examples of use of the textile floor coverings classification of pile carpets EN 1307 on a national base. This standard applies to all machine-made pile carpets in accordance with ISO 2424. It does not apply to needled pile carpets or rugs.
