This document gives guidance on the structural design of circular thermoplastic manholes with solid wall or structured wall risers. These products [1] can be used in landscape, pedestrian or vehicular traffic areas.
Note: Temporary work design, fatigue strength design, temperature effects and design of covers are not in the scope of this document.
This document is valid for:
• Thermoplastic manholes and inspection chambers according to EN 13598-2;
• pump chambers, valve chambers and similar chambers;
• manholes with bases also made from materials other than thermoplastics.
Guidance is only given on the structural thermoplastic parts of the products.
