The proposed Part 3 of the Standard on energy efficiency
index (EEI) of pump units focusses on booster sets. Part 3
will give special definitions (e.g. a reference flow-time profile,
a reference pressure control and – in the case of multipump
booster sets – a reference switching control and a reference
electric power input) that have to be applied when
determining their energy efficiency index (EEI). It will
describe two methods and procedures how to determine the
energy efficiency index (EEI) of booster sets in the frame of
qualification or verification.
