This European Standard defines the requirements and test methods for factory applied electrodeposited
coatings (call in this European Standard ‘’ the coating ‘’) used for the corrosion protection of ductile iron
fittings and accessories conforming to EN 545, EN 12842, EN 14525, for:
— to convey different types of water (e.g. raw water, treated water, re-used water) for all types of
applications (e.g. water intended for human consumption, for fire protection, for snow making, for
irrigation, for hydro-electricity etc.)and;
— suitable for external environments, i.e. soils, waters and atmospheres of common corrosion loads,
characterized in EN 545:2010, D.2.2.
