The aim of this document is to describe different methods for testing the impact of smart textile elements in clothing on the user cognitive load.
This includes testing of the cognitive load of clothing in general, which serves as reference. In some cases, the reference will be the smart clothing in turned off mode. In other cases, the reference clothing will be without smart textile elements.
This document is applicable to clothing with smart textile elements which can include both non-electronic and electronic elements.
This document is not applicable to clothing with smart textile elements which do not include a communication/ signaling element; a communication/ signaling element can be comprised of any type of interface between the garment and the human, including but not limited to visual, haptic, acoustic.
