The document will provide general design rules for fibre-polymer composite structures and civil
engineering fibre-polymer composite works.
Note: Compared to the Technical Specification CEN/TS 19101:2022, the proposed work comprises the following:
- Removal of Annex D (“Structural Fire design”), which will be converted into a new part of prEN 19101-1 (prEN 19101-
1-2), as described in a new work item proposal (prepared in parallel).
- Clarification of elevated temperature and its relation with temperature conversion factor.
- Re-assessment of conversion factors based on new data made available after the publication of CEN/TS 19101:2022.
- Re-assessment of partial factors for some resistance models based on new data made available after the publication of CEN/TS 19101:2022.
- Inclusion of additional formulae for the ULS design of profiles, covering failure modes that had not been scoped in CEN/TS 19101:2022 (buckling of members with double symmetric open cross-section subjected to bending around minor axis; local buckling of channel sections subjected to bending about major principal axis; web crippling).
