This proposed standard specifies messages for the electronic information exchange between computer systems used by clinical laboratories and other healthcare parties for the purposes of the transmission of results obtained on EQA samples and which will be a part of external quality assessment (EQA) of analyses performed in medical laboratories. The transmission will be from the participating laboratory or partner to the EQA organiser (EQA provider or coordinator), which in this context is a data collecting party.
