| Nosaukums | This European Standard specifies the minimum requirements for securing payload to ensure safe operation of freight wagons. This standard is valid up to a train speed of 120 km/h. In addition to the general principles formulated in this standard, the relevant acknowledged technical rules for load securing on railway vehicles are to be observed in the creation of loading directives (LD) for defined goods. Deviation from the acknowledged technical rules is possible if it can be established that at least the same level of safety is guaranteed as by complying with these rules. In the case of dangerous goods, the provisions of the RID (Regulations Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods) must also be observed. In the case of wagons designed for the transport of special payload and/or with integrated load securement (e.g. tank wagons, hopper wagons, car carriers, coil carriers and wagons for intermodal transport) special requirements have also to be observed. |
