This document specifies a general method for the determination of the micronutrients complexed by complexing agents and the complexed fraction in inorganic and organo-mineral fertilizers. The method allows the determination of the total concentration of each complexed micronutrient in complexes, but it does not identify the individual complexing agents.
The method is applicable to a mass fraction of the metal complexed of at least 0,07 %, 0,006 % and 0,035 % of Fe, Mn and Zn respectively. A lower limit of quantification has not been established for Cu and Co.
This document is applicable to the fertilizing products blends where a blend is a mix of at least two of the following components: fertilizers, liming materials, soil improvers, growing media, inhibitors, plant biostimulants, and where the following category: inorganic fertilizers or organo-mineral fertilizers is the highest % in the blend by mass or volume, or in the case of liquid form by dry mass. Additional information on eventual interferences in fertilizer product blends is provided in Clause 5.
