This European standard describes pumped tube sampling and diffusive sampling methods with analysis based on gas chromatography for the measurements of benzene concentrations in ambient air in the range 0 to 500 g/m3. This includes: - a procedure to determine the measurement uncertainty including reproducibility and an estimate of bias; instruction for quality assurance including instruction for calibration. Performance requirements for the overall uncertainty and data coverage are described in the 3rd Daughter Directive of the Air Framework Directive.
