The first edition of CEN TS16794-2 test plan lists all the test conditions to be performed on a contactless reader or a contactless fare media in order to ensure that all the requirements specified in CEN/TS 16794-1 are met for the device under test.
The revised version shall update the existing tests with new publications from ISO/IEC 14443 (and where appropriate EMVCo) in order to maintain and facilitate furthermore the convergence between ISO/IEC 14443, EMVCo Book D (where appropriate) and CEN TS16794-1 specifications.
This new version shall also amend the existing test plan to address interoperability of consumer-market NFC mobile devices with before mentioned PT-specific devices. This shall be achieved based on NFC Forum Analog and Digital Test specifications for consumer-market NFC mobile devices and based on the revised version of CEN TS16794 for PT devices.
