The models to be developed will use the data, e.g. objects and attributes, as defined in the DATEX Data Dictionary ENV 13106. Amendments resulting from the 2 years enquiry on this ENV (available late 2002) will also be taken into account.
It is the intention to position the models as a third part of the DATEX (pre)standards, next to ENV13106 and ENV13777 (or their follow up). The models fit into a migration path to a next generation of DATEX implementations, keeping in mind backward compatibility and in general, requirements from the field. To accomplish this, a strong liaison with users/stakeholders in the Euro Regional projects will be set up.
Starting point of the models will be the results of the TRIDENT project as presented in their deliverable D3.7/3 (Logical Data Models).
The models will be developed according to the rules in ISO/FDIS 14817 annex E (data representation in an information model).
