Projekta Nr.ISO/NP 25919
NosaukumsThis document specifies requirements to classify covered electrodes for metal arc welding with covered electrode (welding process 111 according to ISO 4063); gravity arc welding with the covered electrode (welding process 111 according to ISO 4063); partially or fully mechanized welding with covered electrode (not recognized by ISO 4063) of non-alloy and fine grain steels in a wet hyperbaric environment. Type of a welding process is an intrinsic part of the classification. Welding consumables for processes to be used underwater in a dry hyperbaric environment are not within the scope of this standard. NOTE Covered electrodes for welding in a wet hyperbaric environment (also called hyperbaric wet welding) are specially designed electrodes with an additional waterproof covering for wet applications which is aligned with the composition of the alloy elements of the centre wire and the covering. The additional waterproof covering (varnish, resin or any suitable) is intended to ensure that during welding as little moisture as possible penetrates into the covering of the electrode or is absorbed by the weld metal.
