The detection limit of the methods described in this document, using currently available alpha spectrometry apparatus, is equal to or lesser than 3 mBq·l−1 (or mBq·kg−1), which is lower than the WHO criteria for safe consumption of drinking water (1 Bq·l−1)[<!-- [if supportFields]><span style='color:#0070C0'><span style='mso-element:field-begin'></span></span><span style='color:#0070C0'> REF Reference_ref_12 \r \h <span style='mso-element:field-separator'></span></span><![endif]--><span style="color: #0070c0;">4<!-- [if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:data>08D0C9EA79F9BACE118C8200AA004BA90B0200000008000000110000005200650066006500720065006E00630065005F007200650066005F00310032000000</w:data> </xml><![endif]--></span><!-- [if supportFields]><span style='color:#0070C0'><span style='mso-element:field-end'></span></span><![endif]-->].
