The tasks of this working group are: - To define the requirements and standards connected with environmentally acceptable energy conversion of packaging, taking due note of the residues of material contents, specially - To define conditions for incineration taking due note of regulations existing in different countries, - To define the requirements for used packaging to be incinerated without contravening existing regulations, - To work out rules for calculating the energy recovered from different packaging; working in close contact with WG 1.
