To establish European Standards for the installation of heating systems in buildings. The standards should include guidelines for: - supports; - piping and joints thermal expansion; - insulation work; - information exchange about components; i.e. all components from boilers to heaters including controls; - metering for temperature, flow rate, energy, etc.; - Safety equipment; i.e. expansion vessels, safety valves, etc. To establish European Standards for commissioning of heating systems in buildings. The standard should include guidelines for: - documentation stating technical and performances characteristics of the installed products; - balancing including verification; - verification of functions (including supervisory and control devices, etc.); - verification of heat output; - verification of efficiency (*); - test methods for leakage; - test methods for pressure; - test methods for safety; - test methods for noise and vibrations due to the installation; - preparation of setting into operation (e.g. cleaning and airing). (*) Note: Verification of efficiency can be by acceptance of a laboratory test plus confirmation that the system has been installed according to the standard.
